Chandler, AZ – The Chandler Chamber of Commerce announced it is backing former Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Boyd Dunn in his bid for the Arizona Corporation Commission.
The Chandler Chamber, which represents over 1,500 businesses with more than 170,000 employees., announced its backing of Dunn.
“The process in which the Chandler Chamber goes through for our endorsements is a lengthy and fair process which represents the voice of our business community,” Terri Kimble, CEO and President of the Chamber said.
Dunn, also a former Chandler mayor, welcomed the support of the group.
“As the Chandler mayor, I worked closely with the Chamber to bring new business to the city and promote the wonderful businesses in Chandler,” Dunn said. “I appreciate the support from the Chandler business community as I run to bring a fresh start to the Arizona Corporation Commission.”
Dunn served five years on the bench and as Chandler mayor helped usher in an era of prosperity for the city. During Dunn’s leadership, Chandler grew from 90,000 people to more than 240,000. While serving as Mayor, Chandler added $5 billion in private investment and over 16,000 new jobs. Under Dunn’s leadership, Chandler received an “All-American City” award by the National Civic League.
